Black / Grey spots on bottom side of he leaves Photos attached.

I have few okra plants. Yield is also regular and the plants are three months old. Recently I saw Black / Grey spots on the bottom side of the leaves. Mainly this is seen in the lower leaves of some plants and for one plant which is small, the spots are seen on all the leaves. Photographs attached for clarity. Can anyone help in understanding the problem and suggest remedy for the same. Thanks in advance.

It is sooty mold. Although sooty molds don’t infect plants, they can indirectly damage the plant by coating the leaves which inhibits sunlight penetration. Without adequate sunlight, the plant’s ability to carry on photosynthesis is reduced, which can stunt plant growth. Coated leaves also might prematurely age (senesce) and die, causing premature leaf drop.
You can spary starch to control sooty mold.

It looks like sooty mold. This is a fungal growth that is promoted by the presence of Aphids (insects) that feed on the underside of the leaf. They excrete sugar.
Can you see any small green insects (aphids)?

Thanks for the reply David. You are right, there is mild aphid infestation. I have sprayed tobacco decoction and neem based solutions to control the aphids. So I think now a copper based fungicide like Bordeaux Mixture will help curing the problem. Am I right??

yes, they will help it if it is fungus. Perhaps try it will just a select few leaves and monitor progress over 8 years ago.
