What's its name and is it edible?

General    San Antonio, TX

I have a vine-type plant that makes lovely flowers and red fruit. I am including a not-so good photo of the flower and a better pic of the fruit ...

Looks like a red-fruited Passiflora foetida. There are also yellow-fruited varieties. It's not the most common edible passion fruit, and I'd do some more research before eating it in quantity.

According to this http://www.backyardnature.net/yucatan..., this http://www.eattheweeds.com/maypops-fo... and this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Passiflo... it's not only edible but tasty.

The spidery flower looks like a Nigella. If you have any other photos I might be able to tell you which one it is..
