mutant worm

Parsley    None Given

Large mutant worm (see pics)caught chomping my newly planted parsley plants at night. Dug up 8x8 in area and found about a dozen regular earthworms. But Who is this big guy?

I think it is also a earthworm. Generally earthworms won't eat living plants, they feeds on dead organic matter. Please see the following link for more information

Looks like the culprit. I've just never seen one this long. Still not sure why it would eat the live plant. But I guess I'll at least have well aerated soil.
