Is there a plan to create categories like Annuals and Perennials?
Is there a plan to allow you to click that you grow this plant in x USDA hardiness zone?

No plans as yet to divide crops into annuals and perennials. It is not a common distinction one sees in food plants.
We will be adding a number of geographically relevant options later on. So, we could ask you which zone you come from (and of course country since PlantVillage is global having reached people in 200 countries and territories around the world)

Thanks for the quick reply David. I just want to add that as we move more toward Permaculture growing techniques, perennials will become more and more important. Already, if you had this distinction in your site, it would be very helpful for a large and growing number of us out here in "new farmer" land. Thanks for all you do! over 10 years ago.
