How can I combat this kind of insect without using strong chemicals or poisons?

The thing that works for me is a bottle with a spray nozzle and 75% water and 25% of liquid dish soap. The soapy water gets into the spores of the insect and drowns them. 2 hours later they are gone. You may have to do this a couple of times to drown the younger insects. Additionally they do not eat the leaves that have soapy leaves. Let me know how this works for you. This is an ECO way, no poison involved. This program says my answer is too short, I need 50 characters, but it does not take 50 to give an answer....... go figure.
