Sudden drying of apple and cherries

Hello, My apple and cherry trees is showing a sudden yellowing of leaves in three days and they are drying out. I am not sure what caused this. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

This seems like it could be a heat shock. Where are you and what has the recent weather been like?
as you updated the information provided and shared with us that the heat is extreme (at 40C) I suspect that is the problem. It is likely the tree is not getting enough water. Drought and heat stress can cause browning of leaves in apple.
Give water regularly.
