I have grown a chili plant from seed in a 10 inch pot,it has a lot of pods on it but they have discoloured dark stripes/blotches, the plant is otherwise healthy

I get the same thing; don't know Y, would like to. But, I just the black spot off & use the pepper anyway. If u find out Y & how to prevent it, please let me know.

Nothing to worry about. The fruit is just starting to ripen. It starts off black and will gradually turn a nice bright red. You should have some delicious chili's very soon.

Thank you very much, I was going to remove the affected pods, but I wont bother now, my sister wants a chile plant, she can have it.
