Planting Potato

Potato    None Given

I bought potatoes from a nursery and most of them came damaged except for few that could go to the ground! the question is can I plant the ones that have a small damage? The potatos has no eyes nor any buds or sprouts can they still be planted?

Have a read of the potato page here on PlantVillage if you have not already. If the eyes have not developed you could leave them for a few days before planting but they should sprout, even if planted now. If you cut the potatoes then it is a good idea to cure the pieces for a few days. This helps prevent the seed pieces from rotting in the ground. Cuts and wounds unfortunately provide a way for pathogens to get into the plant. Just keep an eye on the plants for any signs of disease as they grow, hopefully you will be fine and have a bountiful potato harvest!

what do you mean by damaged?

Potatoes are tubers and can even be cut up to be planted. Some surface damage or cuts are fine
