Maracuja (passiflora edulis) with white leaves: why?

General    None Given

Hi there,
I'm from center Italy.
I have two little plants of maracuja (passiflora edulis) from seeds, of about 3 months.
I placed them under a shed where they received a little bit of morning direct sunlight.
Two days ago I placed them in a spot where they received direct sunlight from 11am to 3pm.
Today I noticed that the leaves started to turn white.
What could it be?
Sunburn?

Thank you!

Yes, you have sunscald on your leaves. The mid-day/afternoon sun is much more intense than in the morning, and it's a longer exposure time, so the plants weren't prepared for the shock. You should transition them a bit more slowly, but your plants should still recover. The most badly affected leaves will likely die but any new growth will be healthy.

Thank you Matt! Should I cut the damaged leaves or should I wait their fall?
