Holes in pepper leaves

Chilli Pepper    FL, United States

My pepper plants have got holes in the top leaves. As far as I can tell, there are no insects anywhere on the plant. Is this some kind of physiological disorder? The peppers are jalapenos and are in large containers on my deck where they get lots of sun.. I live in FL. Does anybody know what may be causing this and what I can do about it?

If you snap a picture and post it I'm sure we could find better answers for you, As it stands I my guess is leaf cutter bees. They like to remove varied size stuffing material (leaves) and they cut darn near perfect circles kind of pretty looking.

Check out the plant pictures and compare to your damages you might have a match,

Have you gone out and checked these at night? I am guessing you have a slug/snail problem, and you wouldn't see them, except at night. That is my best guess, based on the info you shared.. Especially after watering them, the slugs really come out.. Good luck! And tell us what you find when you check at night, as now, I need to know, LOL
