Fertilizer: spray v. Non-spray

Didn't know if the method of fertilizing made much of a difference but thought I would ask. Pros and cons?

Answers
Plants get most of the nutrients from soil. Further to keep plants healthy and to increase there pest and disease resistance capability you should use fertilizers. Generally I apply potassium phosphate (0.30.20) as foliage spray to strengthen tissue and passive resistance.
