Sour-tasting tomatoes - What causes this?

Tomato    Central Florida - Zone 9A/9B

What is causing freshly-grown tomatoes to constantly be sour, regardless of variety. It must be something in the culture/environment as the neighbor's tomatoes are fine. This question came into our Plant Clinic and I have had problems finding any reliable, proven reasons why this would happen.

I have always found out that if you don't use acetic fertilizer, such as horse or cow manure, your tomatoes will always be sweet. I use liquid fish emulsion and liquid kelp. I have been using that for over 40 years. I hope this answer helps.
