Guava fruit problem

Guava    southern queensland, australia

My guava tree has fruited heavily (2nd year) but unlike last year most of the fruit is stunted, brown skinned, and very hard. A few guavas have ripened normally, but most are inedible. The trunk and leaves look healthy and the tree seems to be flourishing. I'd appreciate any advice anyone may have. Many thanks!

A bit late to respond but we experienced the same problem in Brisbane. Did you manage to solve it? We have a high pH soil and are treating it in the hope that we get a larger fruit.
