I want to ask about some diseases in cucumber farming .
Please tell about the Nematodes in cucumber root and some plant's leaves color turned green to yellow and after day they change in white color and plant are damaged.
Nematodes are increasing every day and root is swelled. Then production is reduced in poly house farming. There, I have not found mites on leaves.

Answers
Root knot nematodes (Meloidogyne spp.) and sting nematode are the most damaging plant parasites in cucumber.
Root knot nematodes feed on roots and create abnormal, knotty growths called galls. And above ground, the leaves turn yellow and wilts easily in warm weather.
Sting nematodes infect the crops by feeding on the outside of the roots. It kills the root tip and stops them growing. Often root looks swollen.
Management:
1. Deep summer ploughing reduce nematode population.
2. Soil solarization: Increase soil temperature by covering with clear trap for four to six weeks kills most of the nematodes.

Pests like root knot nematodes are common in cucurbits like Cucumber. They can be difficult to cure. Most soil fumigants are effective in treating the ectoparasites (the ones in soil), while the endoparasites (the ones inside root) can be very hard to treat. Nematode infection is identified by gall formation in the roots, wilted leaves. Plant growth is hampered, and reduced.
