In general intercropping with suitable crops (for example legumes) and inter-cultivation will reduce weed population and increase coconut yield. If weed infestation is severe you can spray herbicides. To prevent/control broadleaf weeds spray atrazine (1 kg a.i/ha) as both pre and post emergence. For grasses and sedges spray glyphosate @ 10 ml and 20 g ammonium Sulphate /litre of water as post emergence.

What are the weeds that you have? Please uplaod pictures of the crop and the weeds.
Are you currently intercropping? And with what other crop? If you are growing other crops with coconut then please tell us the distances between the trees

Do you want to use herbicides? Can you afford to? Which ones are available?

How big in the area under cultivation?
