Papaya fruit is pale green.

Papaya (pawpaw)    Lafayette, Louisiana, USA

My young papaya fruit have a pale green color instead of the usual dark green of young fruit. This plant is very robust and making lots of flowers, all of them holding the ovary and and setting many fruit.
Could my soil be weak in some nutrient?

I am not sure that this is anything other than natural variation between seedlings. What is your reference point? Do you have others planted that have young dark green fruit in the same area? If you are worried, a soil test should reveal any deficiencies. Apart from that, I'd be inclined to wait and see.

Its normal they will change color in due time, they are young, mine also have the pale color and change to a darker green.
