All my plants are turning yellow

This is my first year gardening and I have planted some vegetables in a raised garden that I bought and made myself. I was trying to grow corn and squash along with some green beans. Everything was going ok I thought but now all my plants are turning yellow. Is this a disease? what can I do to make my plants better?

Have you fed them in any way? It seems likely to be a nutrient deficiency, probably nitrogen. Compost, rotted manure, mushroom compost- all really good, organic plant foods. I stay far away from Miracle Grow or any of the other commercial plant foods because i don't want to eat that stuff.

Those are good materials but may not contain enough nitrogen on their own, or readily available N. For a quick boost organically, try blood meal.

Yellowing of leaves can also mean deficiency of magnesium. You substitute your usual water with dissolved Epsom salts (2tbspoons par gallon of water) once every 3-4 weeks. At the end of your gardening season, I suggest you feed your beds with good organic composts to ensure a better yield next year.
