Fruit tree transplant shock

Cacao    None Given

i have bought some fruit trees from the US and it took 5 days to arrive! they arrived well in thier boxes but the minuet i potted them in a good porting mix and watered them well placed them in a shady spot, yet they started showing signs of stress.
mind you they came from Miami and they are outdoors in Jeddah saui Arabia , weather is usually in a range between 27-38c. Humidity ranges fro 45% to 70% - wind is mild. the signs of stress where different from a specie to another like for Coca tree , its leaved dried out like paper ! others like avocado only wilted ?
plz tell me its normal for such a reaction and how long shall it take to come back

Brandon Davis commented,
At this point the damage is likely done. Re-potting should take place in temperatures below 70 degrees Fahrenheit, and the trees should have been set out in a partially shaded environment until they had become acclimated. As of now just keep them moist, try to move them to a partial shade location. Do not fertilize or cut back until new growth appears.

This would seem a difficult question to answer. It would seem the best thing is to keep a close eye on it
