Accidentally snapped oregano cutting

Oregano

I was potting a rooted cutting I had taken from an older oregano plant and I accidentally snapped the growing tip from the plant. The cutting is around 3" tall. How will the plant get on with this injury? Will it still grow properly or should I make a fresh cutting? Thanks in advance.

Oregano grows so exuberantly, your rooted cutting should do just fine. It can produce new growing tips just about anywhere.

Yep - Peg is totally correct. I've planted wilted plugs of oregano from the supermarket and had them root.

Generally, though - when I do cuttings, I do a handful at a time. That way you can afford to lose a couple if something goes wrong.
