How to get rid of aphids on my chilli plants?

General    None Given

I have quite a lot of aphids on my young chilli plants (bird's eye chilli, tabasco, jalapeno) and would like to get rid of them asap. I already tried washing them away, removing them one by one and also spraying water with a tiny bit of liquid soap diluted into it. The result is that they always come back. Does anyone have a good natural and effective remedy against aphids?

As a side note I planted them in Spring. I have them since one month inside for the winter and at the same time I also re-potted them.

I was going to say order some Lady Bugs (you can keep them in the freezer for a while if you don't need them all), but if your plants are indoors, not sure you want Lady Bugs indoors. Did you put any neem oil in with the soap spray? You might try that.

Do you know what type of aphids you have? I've found growing indoors that using ladybugs does help knock down a fair invasion of potato aphids but if your plants are heavily infested they can't keep up (depending on how many plants you have ).Parasitic midges "Aphidoletes aphidimyza" will also take on many different kind of aphids We've combined ladybugs with a food grade omri listed "insecticide" called Nuke em. It has no re-entry delay and you can use it right upto harvest .It also has no chemical smell.
