What kind of grafting method is used on pecan plants in container?

Pecan    None Given

Hi there,
do you know what kind of grafting method should be used on pecan plants in container?
I have two plants, 2-3 years old and according to me they have been grafted with a double english cleft graft.
Do you know something about it?
Thank you!

Cheers!

Hi Mirko, you should get this information from the nursery where you bought this plant. Generally, according to literature (University of Georgia Cooperative Extension) " seedling trees and nursery stock of 1, 2 and 3 years of age with a diameter up to 1 inch may be grafted by the 'whip' method."

Mirko commented,
I bought them from a reseller so they cannot help me a lot. Anyway by watching my little plants it seems that they have been grafted with a slice or with a whit and tongue method. So i think that whip and tongue method is a good one, as uga says. Thank you very much!
