Can I salvage overwatered pepper seedlings?
Pepper, bell
Zone 7
I made the mistake of entrusting the care of my seedlings to my neighbors kid while I was away for a few days and when I got home last night I found that my peppers are really wet and some looking sorry for themselves. There was so much water that if I pressed my finger down into the soil I could see water pooling round my finger. The plants mostly seem remarkably well so I'm hoping this was a one off oversight the night before I came back. There are a few that are wilting though. I have done my best to mop up the water and let the trays drain over the sink, but they are still too wet. I'd really appreciate any advice for drying these guys out, will the wilted ones recover or should I toss them?
