Eggplant turning color

Eggplant    None Given

I planted eggplant in large pots, it has been extremely hot (90+ degrees), they are in full sun. They started out purple, but are turning silvery-white. Do they have a disease, too much or too little water?

I think it could be due to high sunlight. Provide shade to plants during peak sun hours and water adequately so they can withstand heat.
