Alternaria leaf spots.

Apple    Srinagar

Mid summer alternaria is causing heavy defoliation in delicious apple cultivars. What can be done to eradicate this menace, further to prevent premature fruit fall.

Generally the fungicides recommended to control apple scab are used to control Alternaria leaf spots. Also make sure to remove the fallen plant debris and burn them. For information on suitable fungicides, see our earlier question
