building the grape garden next to the river

General    Iran

Is it right to build a grape garden near water resources such as the river?
In such a situation, does the risk of the disease increase?
Location details:
Weather: Cloudy and cool air, misty in the morning
Sunlight: More than 8 hours

Certainly, the river will have a certain impact on microclimate, particularly on local moisture and temperature. This condition may favor several pathogens. So it is always advisable to learn as much as you can about average temperatures, number of growing days in the season, frost and freeze days, and precipitation (rainfall) of the area. Especially you have to be cautious about rainfall patterns mainly in the river basin which may have the risk of flooding.
