Hi Eunice
You can protect sprouting plants against Cassava Mosaic Disease and Cassava Brown Streak Disease by reducing the number of whitefly insects on your plants. You can recognize whitefly as the little white flies on the underside (and sometimes the top) of you leaves. The young whitefly are round and hard to see. They are attached to the leaf.
If you spray water on the leaf you can remove them. Do you have a spray bottle?
You can also use Neem. Have you heard of this? It is a natural product from trees that can kill insects
The spray also helps againts mites which are also a pest.
Please use Nuru to check saplings for disease and you should remove them and replant with health stems.
