What caused this design on this pumpkin? Post harvest it was under a tree at a pay as you go market in Godfrey, IL USA. The farmer said the design wasn’t there when he harvested it.

It looks like Watermelon mosaic virus (WMV) = Marrow mosaic virus = Melon mosaic virus = Watermelon mosaic virus type 2 (WMV-2)
This potyvirus causes "watermelon Mosaic disease" in many different plants. WMV arose from recombination of Soybean mosaic virus (SMV) and Bean common mosaic virus (BCMV) along with Peanut Stripe virus (PSV).
