crop failed to grow.

Garlic (Allium Sativum)    Maryland

I have always had 100% success with garlic, but not this year. The entire planting failed. I dug up some cloves and they all had the same appearance. They looked ok on the outside, but inside the clove where the growth would sprout it was rotted. What could cause this?

Your garlic bulbs have been probably infected by fungi. Replace the garlic with a non-allium species for 3-4 years.
