Locusts damage is a severe problem and it is generally difficult to manage for a farmer particularly when the large swarms of them migrate from one place to other. There is a limited scope of insecticides in curtailing the degree of pest population however the use of nets, light traps during night and attracting birds towards the affected farms may help at individual level for the farmers.
