Hello,

There is some weird rot on my Babaco. I kept it too moist within Winter so I'm not surprised it happened but the rot itself concerns me. Thin white roots look perfectly fine. The rot is just on the "caudex" and nowhere else. I'm concerned if it's a fungal or bacterial disease that spread on my other plants since i used the dish under it for repotting my other plants regularly. Please let me know if you can tell me what I'm seeing here. A huge rotten chunk. I had removed it. It was soft and smelled pretty bad. The plant didn't react at all and that's why I noticed it so late. Nothing seemed weird. I removed the plant and discarded it.
