Blackberry branches falling off

Blackberry    None Given

Each spring my thornless blackberry shrub gets some kind of branch fall off. Some branches fall off at the very bottom of the plant. I have tried to closely look at the ends of the branches but see no signs of insect damage or rotting. I have tried to spray insecticide at the bottom of the shrub as well as bulb rotting powder but that doesn't seem to help. The branches are rich green and healthy until they fall down.

deactivated commented,
Do you think it could be a squirrel or something? they love to eat new growth on small branches. They do it to my blueberry bushes..a new sprouting branch come up and they'll chew the top of it off or chew it all they way down. (squirrels are a nuisance!) Also..if the insecticides dont work, I wouldn't use them.
