Damaged cabbage leaves

Cabbage (red, white, Savoy)    Cottage grove oregon

There is a weird green wart like substance on my cabbage plant. It is on the top surface of the leaf. I don't know what it is can you tell me what it is or do you have any ideas?

GP Van Eron commented,
The holes look suspicious. Please check carefully around the interiors of the leaves of your cabbage plant for any small worm looking creatures. To me, it looks like cabbageworm or looper. Probably at this stage they will be tiny and white opposed to green of adults. If you do see any hand pick them off as much as possible and apply mulch or cardboard around the base of the plant.

I would agree with GP that this looks like insect damage. I think something has eaten part of the leaf and the raised areas might be a secondary infection with bacteria .

I searched around and did not find much information but I will look again

Do you have much more damage? Where are your growing these? What do the other ones look like?
