Brown spots on aloe vera plant.

Aloe Vera    None Given

Brown spots all over my aloe vera. This started several years ago and despite my efforts, it has only gotten worse. It's a very old plant and I don't want to loose it. I'm hoping you have a treatment for it. In the meantime, should I trim the diseased leaves? I'm very much looking forward to your reply. I appreciate your time and consideration.

Very difficult to identify the exact disease from this image, but there are several leaf spot diseases occurring on aloe vera
1. Aloe vera anthracnose disease caused by Colletotrichum gloeosporioides
2. Leaf spot disease on aloe vera caused by Curvularia sp.
3. Cladosporium leaf spot caused by Cladosporium sphaerospermum
4. Leaf spot and leaf blight disease caused by Alternaria alternate

Not possible to provide any control measure without identifying the pathogen. But the plants look over crowded, thin the plant and provide proper air circulation around them. Remove the dead and infected leaves and burn them.
