In plant nutrition there is a phenomenon that indicates nutrients can be mobile or immobile, mobile nutrients translocate from one part of the plant to another, immobile nutrients are a vice-versa. Nitrogen is a mobile nutrient and thus deficiency occurs in the older leaves which exhibit chlorotic symptoms while the browning (necrosis) is the acute stage of chlorosis.
Try using nitrogenous foliar feed to correct the situation.
