Good question. But require more information. What's the farm size? Stage of the infested plants? inter-cropping system? mono-cropping system? What are the available resources with this specific farmer? etc.
These information will guide proper answers and advice. over 5 years ago.
I agree with Benoit. If the farmer is familiar with the FAMEWS app he can use it to validate whether it is fall armyworm and also level of damage. Appropriate intervention will depend on the stage of the maize and level of infestation over 5 years ago.
