Skeleton leaves on cucumber plants

I have an ongoing problem with something that causing my cucumber leaves to skeletonize.
Otherwise healthy plants then all the leaf tissue between the veins starts to disappear with no visible culprit.
I've tried a number of thing with no success. This skeletonizing causes the plant to collapse.
I have never seen this problem addressed in any of my garden books, or in any online forum.
I'm completely stumped.
Help Please
