It is very difficult to control curly top virus but can be prevented by following methods.
1. Remove and destroy the infected plants to reduce further spread of virus
2. Keep the field or garden free from weeds
3. The virus is transmitted by beet leafhoppers. Controlling leafhoppers reduce spreading of disease.
4. Providing shade to plants helps in reducing leafhoppers population.
5. Maintaining proper soil moisture by mulching with suitable materials.
6. Also dense plant spacing and intercropping will reduce the disease.

Virus in plants cannot be cured. The only approach is to reduce the incidence of the disease by controlling transmission which is often via vectors.
