Tomatillos not producing very much fruit

I have a couple of tomatillos (Husks) which do not seem to fruit enough (I get 3 fruits a day per tree... not much I guess). Do you think it is because they are self-pollinating?

Stem rot symptoms were seen on greenhouse-grown tomato during the 2017 winter
