Tomatillos not producing very much fruit

Tomato    None Given

I have a couple of tomatillos (Husks) which do not seem to fruit enough (I get 3 fruits a day per tree... not much I guess). Do you think it is because they are self-pollinating?

Tomatillos are not all self pollinating, some varieties require two or more plants to cross pollinate. The are usually pollinated by bees and other insects. Do the plants produce lots of blossoms but little fruit? If your particular plant is self fertile then perhaps gently shaking the plant to release the pollen may do the trick.
