The surface of the fruits have a thin crusty brown growth that makes them look like kiwi. The stems have stunted growth and the leaves droop. It is similar to what I have seen on jalapeno peppers, only instead of streaks like stretch marks, it spreads evenly. I would like to know what it is and if the peppers and eggplant should be eaten. Also, I want to know how do to prevent recurrence.
