Small sweet potato

Sweet potato    near Johnstown, PA

I dug out a couple of sweet potatoes yesterday and they are smaller than I expected. First time I've grown them so I guess I don't have the knack yet. How much longer would you recommend leaving them in the ground here in PA? Thanks, Larry

Holes on sweet potato leaves

Sweet potato    None Given

I live in Dubai and I am new to gardening. I have a single sweet potato plant just for decoration. Holes started to appear in the leaves. Initially they started as a brownish transparent spot which later becomes a hole. The plant gets good sun all day long.

Sweet potato    OK Zone 7

What is the best way to start slips from sweet potato and when is it best to transplant them? Lots of different methods out there and I’d like to hear what folks on here think.
