How is the weather up there? Is it too warm?

I agree to Dr. Narayana, it looks like weather - related damage. We need to know temperature day/night, sun/rainy, treatments by pesticides/fertilization. Was the straw treated with a urea solution?

What type of tomato is this? Are you adding any fertilizers?

Scott, please state your location and what the weather has been like since you planted. Also, what was in the ground before this? Perhaps last season?

Kitt commented,
With tomatoes, much depends on the soil. They suck up nutrients fast. Overall, they need a hugely sunny, dry, well ventilated area. Warm, sunny, and breezy. Water only twice a week. Deep watering when there is a drought especially., so they can absorb nutrients correctly. They suffer from fungus due to too much moisture/root rot, and low ventilation. Pluck ripe tomatoes before you water, when they are still orange, or they will split. Feed them used coffee grounds occasionally. Rain water is best for them, because of the nitrogen content. Feed them fertizer, Epsom salts, our severly watered- down milk only occasionally or if there is a drought.

The weather has been in the 70s to the best of my knowledge, as for lowest it hovers around 40 at night. No Fertilizer, only tilled in mulch so far. Potato crop was grown in the two seasons ago nothing there last year. Regarding tomato varieties we have 6 different kinds I believe. Seems to affect all of them. No urea that I'm aware of. Location is Utah USA.
